Cheese and Spinach Pie

30-40 servings


  • 1,5 kg puff pastry
  • 150 g Gold&Green® Protein Granules
  • 150 g water
  • 360 g grated cheese
  • 6 g dry thyme
  • 15 g salt
  • 8 g black pepper
  • 1,3 kg forzen spinach
  • 30 g oil
  • 500 g diced onion
  • 50 g sesame seeds
  • 2 eggs whisked together


  1. To make the filling start defrosting the spinach and squeeze out all the liquid, set spinach aside. Meanwhile fry the onions with the oil until caramelized then add the spinach, seasoning and let it cool down. Soak the granules with the water for 5 minutes then add the soaked granules to the mixture along with the cheese.
  2. Roll out the pastry 13x13cm squares and add 30g of filling then fold over into triangles. Glaze with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake at 180c for 13-15 minutes.
