Xmas tacos with Pulled Oats®

These tacos combine the freshness of an apple, the sweetness of red onions and the spiciness of Pulled Oats® Mexico.

  • 215 g Pulled Oats® Mexico
  • 8 tortillas Santa Maria Tortilla Original Small
  • 1 apple
  • Fresh coriander
Christmas spiced red onions
  • 2 red onions
  • 2.5 dl red wine vinegar
  • 2.5 dl water
  • 2 Santa Maria cinnamon sticks
  • 3 Santa Maria star anise
  • 10 Santa Maria cloves
  • 5 tbsp honey (or 1 dl sugar)
Salsa verde
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 1 bunch basil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 1 dl avocado- or olive oil
  • Salt & black pepper


  1. Pickle the red onions. Cut the red onion into thin slices and place in a glass jar. Boil red wine vinegar, water and spices in a saucepan over low heat for 10 minutes. Pour the liquid over the red onions and add honey/sugar. Let sit for a few hours.
  2. Place the salsa verde ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse until all ingredients are finely chopped and mixed.
  3. Mix together Pulled Oats® and the spice marinade in the packaging. Fry over medium-high heat for 5 minutes.
  4. Heat the tortillas in an oven or pan.
  5. Kokoa tortillan päälle: salsa verdeä, omenaa, Nyhtökauraa, marinoituja punasipuleita ja korianteria/lehtipersiljaa. Pile tortillas with Pulled Oats®, apple slices, pickled red onions and salsa verde. Enjoy!
