Chili sin carne

30-40 servings

Chili sin carne is a vegetarian version of the well-known Mexican dish chili con carne. Pulled Oats® works well in this dish, too!

prep time 30 min

  • 1,5 kg Pulled Oats® Nude
  • 3/4 dl sesame oil (or other oil)
  • 1 kg onion (diced)
  • 14 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • 2,5 kg crushed tomato
  • 1 L vegetable stock
  • 2 kg kidney beans
  • 1,5 kg corn
  • 1/3 dl vinegar
  • 100 g ground cumin
  • 80 g paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Mix 3/4 dl sesame oil (or other oil) with the pulled oats. Roast in the oven for 7-8 min at 170°C.
  2. Chop the onion and garlic. Cook in oil over a medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes or until the onions are golden. Add the cumin, paprika, cocoa and vinegar. Pour in the beans, corn, crushed tomato and vegetable stock. Simmer until soft. Mix in the Pulled Oats®. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Serve with some steamed basmati rice or nachos.
