Ingredients

  • 175 g of Pulled Oats® Tomato
  • 3 large buns or pita bread
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • small head Salad
SAUCE
  • 2 shallots
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 25 ml sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tsp Sambal Oelek chili sauce
  • 1½ tbsp tomato purée
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce or ketchup
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 200 ml cola drink
  • ½ tsp smoked salt or salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • oil for frying
SIDE DISH
  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • oil
  • salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 225°C.
  2. Sauté the finely chopped garlic cloves and shallots in a pan with oil. Add the rest of the sauce ingredients and simmer for about 45 minutes. When the sauce has thickened, add the Pulled Oats® and heat the mixture.
  3. Cut the sweet potatoes into sticks and place on baking paper on an oven tray. Season and mix. Bake for 20–30 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time.
  4. Fill the bread with the Pulled Oats®, cucumber slices and salad.
